I asked my grandson, Reid, to draw a picture of a monster and e-mail it to me. I used a projector to help draw it on a sheet of watercolor paper and painted it in three dimensions, and, voilĂ .
I give credit for the inspiration to Dave Devries who has a website where he describes doing this.

This is a cool idea (and the monster looks great in both incarnations!)
I lack inspiration often in the art department. Suddenly I realize I have an untapped resource in my friends kids (not to mention my own neices & nephews!!).

Wow, how cool is that. I love the interpretation and the collaboration. I can't wait to see others in the future. The photography is phenomenal, Sigrid. I especially loved the impressionistic rainy day! Jackie

Your creativity continues to amaze and entertain me, whether it be in watercolor, photography, knitting, quilting, or protesting! Reid is lucky to have you to collaborate with! Looking forward to more shared work. You are awesome!
Thanks for sharing this with me.
What a great idea! I like the etched monster, and the green one as well. It's very inspiring, makes you think distance is never an issue anymore in collaboration now.
